The fireworks will be on display a few days early in Charlotte, N.C., this summer. By the time Independence Day rolls around, fans in the basketball-crazed state of North Carolina will still be buzzing about the BIG3 action that takes place July 2 at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center.

No team in the BIG3 is more mysterious than the Ball Hogs. They were the last of the BIG3's 8 teams to be announced and they feature the league's most unexpected lineup.

Brian Scalabrine -- a.k.a. White Mamba, a.k.a. player/captain of the Ball Hogs in the new BIG3 professional 3-on-3 league that begins play in less than a month – paid close attention during the league’s combine workouts in Las Vegas on April 29.

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was the last pick in the inagural BIG3 Draft. He is the oldest player in the league. But, the man Phil Jackson, Michael Rapaport and Dale Brown recently called "Steph Curry before Steph Curry" may just be the biggest surprise of the 2017 season.

The BIG3 has its fair share of big men who will be crashing the boards when the new professional 3-on-3 league tips off on June 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Kenyon Martin and Charles Oakley are two guys who definitely stand out. Those two won’t face each other until Aug. 13, when Martin’s Trilogy plays Oakley’s Killer 3s at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The question is: Will Kmart and Oak go head-to-head before the season even begins?
