Standing at 6'9" and coming from New Jersey's St. Patrick High School, Al Harrington was one of the first players to go straight from high school to the NBA. Selected in the first round of the 1998 NBA draft, Harrington played 16 seasons in the league for the Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards. He also spent a short stint with the Fujian Sturgeons of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
