With two weeks left in the regular season, the playoff picture is quickly coming into focus. The 3-Headed Monsters and Power have clinched two of the four playoff spots. With three teams already eliminated from playoff contention, that means three teams – Tri-State, 3’s Company and the Killer 3s — are vying for the final two playoff spots. Here’s a quick look at the Week 7 games that will take place Friday at Boston’s TD Garden, along with playoff scenarios:
TRILOGY (1-5) vs. BALL HOGS (1-5) — live at 7 p.m. ET on Facebook Watch
Trilogy co-captain Al Harrington is second in the BIG3 in scoring (18.2). … Harrington is also tied for the league lead in stels (9), … Ball Hogs co-captain DeShawn Stevenson, after leading the league in 3-pointers last season, leads again in that category (13) … Ball Hogs rookie Jermaine Taylor is tied for third in 3-pointers (11). He had a Week 6-best 4 3-pointers. … Ball Hogs’ co-captain Josh Childressis fourth in the league with 6 blocks.
TRI-STATE (4-2) vs. KILLER 3s (2-4) — live at 8 p.m. ET on FS1
If Tri-State wins, they clinch a playoff spot and so does 3’s Company. … If the Killer 3s win their final two games and Tri-State loses its final two games, the Killer 3s would earn a playoff spot based on head-to-head matchups. … Tri-State’s David Hawkins is fifth in the BIG3 in scoring (17.5), fifth in rebounding (6.8), and third in assists (3.2). … Tri-State co-captain Amar’e Stoudemire had a Week 6-best 3 blocks and is third in the league with 7 blocks. … Killer 3s co-captain Stephen Jackson is fourth in the league in rebounding (7.2).
3-HEADED MONSTERS (6-0) vs. POWER (5-1)
If the 3-Headed Monsters win, they will clinch the No. 1 seed. … 3-Headed Monsters co-captain Reggie Evans, who led the BIG3 in rebounding last season, once again leads the league (9.5 per game). … Evans was also the Week 6 scoring leader with 24 points. … Power captain Corey Maggette is third in the BIG3 in scoring (18.0), third in rebound (7.7), and second in assists (3.7).
GHOST BALLERS (1-5) vs. 3’S COMPANY (4-2)
3’s Company can clinch a playoff spot with a win here OR if the Killer 3s lose to Tri-State. … Ghost Ballers captain Mike Bibby returned to action last week and had a Week 6-best 6 assists. He leads the BIG3 with 4.3 assists per game. … Ghost Ballers’ co-captain Ricky Davis is tied for fourth in the league in scoring (17.7 ppg). … Andre Emmett tied a BIG3 single-game record last week with 4 steals. Emmett, who also scored 23 points last week, leads the league with 9 steals on the season. … While 3’s Company co-captain Baron Davis has missed two straight games with injury, he leads the BIG3 in scoring (19.0 ppg).
