The next member of our Young3 staff that we’d like to highlight is James “Hollywood” Robinson. Hollywood was born in Jackson, MS where he was named Mississippi’s Mr. Basketball and McDonald’s All-American. He went on to play college basketball at the University of Alabama before being drafted #21 overall in the 1993 NBA Draft by the Portland Trial Blazers. Hollywood would go on to play seven years in the league for four different teams from 1993-2000.
Now, he’s a key piece to our Young3 team and spreading his knowledge to the games future stars. Hollywood’s greatest gift is his ability to make the campers happy. He has a sharp sense of humor and believes it’s important for everyone to smile and enjoy the game. He’s known to seek out kids who are struggling the most and work with them personally to improve their experience. Hollywood believes that it’s important for the less skilled campers to feel equal to the more gifted players, as these kids are still developing their skills. He preaches equality, which is just another great lesson taught at Young3 camps!
