Big 3

Ex-Laker Smush Parker wants to squash the beef with Kobe Bryant and team up to compete in Ice Cube's Big3 League!!

In case you didn't know ... Kobe made it clear during his playing days that he wasn't a fan of Smush ... and even told him not to speak to him until he "had more accolades."

TMZ Sports spoke to Smush about wanting to reunite with Mamba and old teammate Lamar Odom  ... and he says their triangle offense would dominate against guys like Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups and Mike Bibby.

When we asked if there would be any hard feelings with Kobe ... Smush says it's all water under the bridge.

"I think back then, we were both immature versions of who we are today ... we work well together and I wholeheartedly, no doubt in my mind, know that we could've been the best backcourt in Lakers history."

As a legendary ball-handler, Jason Williams’ popularity remains high to this day, more than 5 years after his final game in the NBA. Clips of his ostentatious style are rampant online and his fans continue to pump out new highlight reels on Youtube. So, it's no surprise that since the announcement that "White Chocolate" is returning to pro basketball in the BIG3, social media has done its fair share of celebrating.

Whatever team White Chocolate ends up on is my team #Big3

After taking a brief hiatus from the NBA in 2008, Williams returned to play a few more years until retiring in 2011. While his fans have missed his exotic playing style – a style that was highly unorthodox in the NBA – they are excited to hear the return of the star in America's 3-on-3 league. The league will feature other big names from recent years past, but the prospect of seeing Williams’ once again will have highlight reel creators salivating. Unsurprisingly, he hasn’t lost his touch, as evidenced by recent Pro-Am circut clips. The BIG3's smaller court will also offer him plenty of chances to deliver more jaw-dropping passes and ankle-twisting crossovers for the highlight reels to immortalize.

So prepare yourself internet, you’re about to explode with more White Chocolate clips.

It's been a very busy week for the BIG3. Today, the league announces that NBA veteran and FOX Sports analyst Corey Maggette will be returning to the hardwood this June as a Player Co-Captain in the BIG3. He joins Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Mike Bibby and a number of other high profile signings announced in the last few days.

"I'm happy to be a part of the Big3. Your competitiveness never leaves you and now you have another place to use it" remarked Maggette.

The 6'6" powerhouse brings 14 years of pro ball experience and one of the best free throw records in history to the newly formed league. The BIG3 begins its regular season June 24th, 2017.

On Wednesday (Jan. 11), Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz teamed up to announce their new 3-on-3 basketball league titled the BIG3 at the Sheraton Times Square Hotel in New York City.

"It sucks to see your favorite players retire. There's nothing good about it, especially when you know they still got game," Cube said during the press conference. “My father always told me if you don't think big, you will always be small. So, we came up with a big idea. It was to bring a style of basketball that I grew up playing, watching, and loving, which is 3-on-3 basketball.”
