Jones retired from the NBA in 2017 after a 13-year career that included an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. He was the 20th overall draft pick in 2003, taken by the Boston Celtics but traded right away to the Memphis Grizzlies. After four seasons in Memphis and before finishing his career in Cleveland, Jones also saw time with the Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers,
Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers. In 624 career NBA games, Jones averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
Jones began his college career at Rutgers, earning Big East All-Rookie honors in 1999, After two seasons, he transferred to Duke, where he was an All-ACC player in 2003 and a two-time member of the ACC All-Defensive Team.
