Entering his second season in the BIG3, Jason Maxiell was taken with the second pick in the second round of the 2018 draft, eighth overall. In 2018, Maxiell scored over 60 points and had 37 rebounds while shooting 60% from the field. Maxiell has been one of the more efficient big-men in the league and was apart of last year’s runner-up performance.
Maxiell played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati, where he still ranks third all-time in blocked shots. In 2005, Maxiell was a first-round draft pick of the Detroit Pistons (26th overall). He played eight seasons in Detroit, followed by a season each with the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic. In recent years, he’s played professionally in China and Turkey. In 618 career NBA games, Maxiell averaged 5.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
