Johnson will start his BIG3 journey with the Ball Hogs in 2023, and he has the potential to help Rick Barry’s squad in just about every area.
Johnson played three years at Louisville before turning pro. Since then, he’s G-League mainstay. Apart from a brief stint with Hapoel Halon, all of Johnson’s pro experience has been in the G-League. He’s spent time with the Windy City Bulls, the Iowa Wolves, and the Motor City Cruise.
He’s contributed across the board. Since leaving Louisville, he’s added a three-point shot. He rebounds well, can block shots, and is a solid playmaker for a man his size. In his last season with the Cruise, Johnson averaged 10.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while making 36% of his threes and throwing in nearly a block per game. That’s rock-solid stuff. It’s easy to see Johnson being a part of the Ball Hogs’ foundation as they continue to search for a winning formula.
