Entering his first season in the BIG3, Jermaine Taylor was taken with the first pick in the third round of the 2018 draft, 14th overall.
Taylor was a three-sport star in high school, and he turned down football scholarships to Florida and South Florida in order to play basketball at Central Florida, where he earned Conference USA Player of the Year honors in 2009. Later that year, after declaring for the NBA Draft, he was selected 32nd overall by the Washington Wizards. He was traded before the season to the Houston Rockets and assigned to the Developmental League. Taylor ended up playing parts of two NBA seasons, with the Rockets and Sacramento Kings. In 65 career games, he averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
