Alexander, the eighth overall pick of the 2008 NBA draft and the first-ever Taiwanese-born NBA player, makes his BIG3 debut with Power in 2021. Alexander had stints with the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls before continuing his professional career with two D League teams and with squads in Israel, Italy, France, Russia and Turkey. He won the Israeli State Cup in 2017 and 2018 with the Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Holon, respectively.
After attracting little attention from Division 1 schools despite a standout high school career in Maryland, Alexander spent a season at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia before landing a spot on the West Virginia roster. He moved into the Mountaineers’ starting lineup as a sophomore and averaged 10.3 points per game, helping West Virginia to the NIT championship. He became a standout performer as a junior, leading the team in scoring (16.9 points per game) and rebounding (6.4) and improving those averages during an NCAA tournament run that ended with an overtime loss in the Sweet 16.
