After a three-year career with the Killer 3s, where he emerged as one of the most prolific scorers in BIG3 history, Stephen Jackson is trading his jersey for a clipboard, taking over as Trilogy’s coach.
Stack Jack had a stellar 2019 campaign as the Killer 3s co-captain, pouring in a team-leading 15.9 points per game. Jackson (13 points) led the team to a semifinal victory over Power and cranked up his game in the final, scoring 19 points and pulling down a team-high 9 rebounds in a losing effort to Trilogy.
Jackson was one of the league’s most productive players in 2018, ranking third in both points (17.1) and rebounds (7.7) per game. He also finished among the BIG3 leaders in 3-pointers made (17) and steals (8). In 2017 Jackson averaged 20.9 points per game, second only to 3 Headed Monsters’ Rashard Lewis. His 2.4 assists per game also ranked in the league’s top five.
Jackson joined the BIG3 after 14 seasons in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers. His dominance on the court was demonstrated in his scoring range, which extended well beyond the 3-point line. Jackson was long considered among the best perimeter defenders in the NBA due to his toughness, long wingspan and court awareness.
