In 2021 3’s Company got off to a slow start and didn’t have enough time to turn their season around. They finished 2-4 in the outside the playoffs. The team placed fifth in the 2019 regular season, beating out four other teams with a 4-4 record on a tiebreaker. They lost to Bivouac in the playoffs, finishing sixth in the league. In 2018, 3’s company had a regular season record of 5-3, which earned them their first playoff berth after a disappointing 3-5 finish in 2017. In the postseason of 2018, 3’s company defeated the 3 Headed Monsters in the semifinals before falling to Power in the BIG3 Championship Game.
3’s Company had more to play for in 2021 than any other BIG3 team. Absent from the 2021 roster was two-year 3’s Company star Andre Emmett, who tragically passed away just weeks after the 2019 postseason ended.
DerMarr Johnson and Drew Gooden returned to 3’s Company for the 2021 season. Former 3 Headed Monster player Mario Chalmers was a newcomer to the team who ended up being their best player. Chalmers was the leading scorer of the three, averaging 13.8 points per game in 2021. In less than half a season for 3’s Company, Jeremy Pargo knocked down a league high five, four point shots.
Michael Cooper returned as coach of 3’s Company in 2021. The team had a hard time keeping a consistent roster together, impacting their on court chemistry. Their best win of the season came in week two with a 52-45 victory over Killer 3’s.
