Power.
After a disappointing 2021 campaign, Power retooled their roster for the 2022 campaign, and it worked out exceedingly well for Head Coach Nancy Leiberman. After missing the playoffs in 2021, Power returned to the BIG3 Championship Game in 2022, where they fell to Trilogy.
Returning Captain Cuttino Mobley and Co-Captain Royce White were joined by 2022 BIG3 #1 overall draft pick Glen Rice Jr., who established himself as one of the best scorers in the league en route to winning the Rookie of the Year Award, and TJ Cline, whose versatile game, hustle, and passing ability made him an instant impact player. The only roster change the team made this off-season was to replace Nikoloz Tskitishvili with Akil Mitchell. Tskitishvili ran a bit hot and cold in 2022 and Mitchell’s ability around the rim should make him an excellent fit with Power’s crew of skilled passers, so the move has a ton of upside on paper.
Power had a fantastic year last year. However, Coach Lieberman has won the BIG3 Championship before and is one of the fiercest competitors you’ll find anywhere, so I doubt she’ll be satisfied until Power has another BIG3 Title to its name.
