After an unforgettable regular season, it’s time for the playoffs. Who will be crowned the winner of this season’s BIG3 Championship? Let’s see who has the best odds:
1 – Trilogy:
Obviously, the 6-2 teams are going to take up the top two slots here. I’m giving Trilogy the edge for two reasons. First of all, they haven’t lost a single game since they added Ryan “Hezi God” Carter to the starting lineup, and the BIG3 rookie has only gotten more comfortable with each passing week.
Second of all, they’re the back-to-back defending champs. They know how to get it done in the playoffs. They did it last year when Isaiah Briscoe replaced former Captain Jarret Jack as the team’s lead guard, and history can repeat itself with Hezi God leading the team to a Championship in Briscoe’s absence.
2 – Triplets:
That being said, Lisa Leslie and the Triplets have also won BIG3 Championship gold. Their odds to win another one are pretty good, especially with two-time MVP back in the lineup after missing the majority of last season. The duo of Johnson and Jeremy Pargo, the latter of whom has had something of a breakout year, is more than capable of taking this team to the promised land.
3 – Enemies:
It’s this simple – Jordan Crawford and Co. don’t need much to go their way to get buckets. They’re the kings of making long shots despite what the defense throws at them. When they’re hot, it’s almost impossible to beat them. If they can string two hot-shooting games in a row together, it’s difficult to imagine anyone coming in between them and BIG3 glory.
4 – Ghost Ballers
Of course, don’t count out the Ghost Ballers. Mike Taylor can punish teams with both his speed and his outside shooting. Chris Johnson leads a trio of talented big men capable of controlling the paint on both ends. Finally, swingman Jonathon Simmons can guard just about any position on the floor and is extremely capable of getting hot from the perimeter. The Ghost Ballers have all the tools to win a Championship – they just need to put them together.
