BIG3 TO HOST NEXT STREET TOUR EVENT AT THE ICONIC DYCKMAN PARK ON JULY 6, POWERED BY JD SPORTS AND TOTAL BY VERIZON  

  The Storied Outdoor Court will Host the Third BIG3 Street Tour Event ahead of the League’s Week 4 Matchups at The Prudential Center 

LOS ANGELES – June XX, 2024 — Today, the BIG3 announced that the next BIG3 Street Tour event will take place at the iconic Dyckman Park in the Bronx, NY, on July 6, 2024 at 1pm ET. The event will feature teams put together by top New York basketball talent, including influencers and other amateur players, all playing modified BIG3 rules. The event will be powered by JD Sports and Total by Verizon and is free to enter. This event is part of the BIG3’s New York takeover, including the Young3 community outreach event in Newark the same day, and the league’s Week 4 games at the Prudential Center on July 7, 2024. “This is an exciting time in the BIG3,” said BIG3 CEO and co-founder, Ice Cube. “It’s an amazing feeling to know that the sport that Jeff Kwatinetz and I created will be played at such a historic venue. It’s the type of play at courts like Dyckman that inspired the BIG3 game and I’m excited to make the BIG3’s presence known in New York this weekend.” 

This is the third BIG3 Street event since the tour’s inception. The BIG3 recently partnered with Sneaker Con and SRGN Studios to power the BIG3 Street Tour, which will eventually provide 10 events per year between September and August. Next year’s tour will see the winning team from each event entered into a Championship Bracket with the potential to win $50,000 in a showdown held before the 2025 BIG3 Championship Game.  

This announcement is the latest in a series of strategic offseason moves, including the recent sale of the BIG3’s second team franchise to an ownership group led by Heath Freeman with plans to base the team in Miami in 2025. This also follows the first three weeks of the league’s seventh season, which have produced consistently strong viewership week over week on CBS, Paramount +, and X.
