Previewing every match-up of the 4th BIG3 Season’s opening weekend
Every team wants a shot at the BIG3 Championship in the Bahamas, but it all starts with the first win. Who will take the first steps towards the ultimate prize and who will be left in an immediate 0-1 hole?
Power Vs Enemies
Saturday, July 10th Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. CBS 12:30PM ET
Captains: Cuttino Mobley (Power) and Nick Young (Enemies)
A bunch of new faces join the BIG3 for the first game of the season headlined by Swaggy P. After a three and five 2019 season the Enemies have high hopes coming into 2021 with Perry Jones III as the only returning player.
Coached by Nancy Lieberman, the Power are looking to make it back to the playoffs again in 2021. Captain, Cuttino Mobley, and co-captain Big Baby Davis return for the Power. Royce White also joins the team, adding BIG3 experience to the roster. The Power added Dusan Bulut and Joe Alexander in the draft who both offer more than five years of overseas experience. Bulut is currently the number one ranked 3×3 player in the International Basketball Federation, so he will look to make an impact on the BIG3.
First year head coach Gilbert Arenas brings a host of accolades, including three NBA All Star appearances. The Enemies made big steps forward in the draft, acquiring Isaiah Austin and Jordan Hill. Standing at seven foot one and six foot ten they will be a force in the league this year. Nick Young and Elijah Stewart round out the guards for the team. Stewart is the all time leading three point shooter at USC with 245 made.
When these teams faced off in 2019 the Power won 50 to 41. This season the rosters look very different, especially for the Enemies, but the Power added some serious talent to their roster too. Perry Jones III had 20 points and 9 rebounds in the last matchup.

Bivouac vs. Triplets
Saturday, July 10th Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. CBS 12:30 PM ET
Captains: Joe Johnson (Triplets) and Josh Smith (Bivouac)
The defending champion Triplets come into the 2021 season looking to start up where they left off after beating the Killer 3’s 50 to 39 in the BIG3 Championship.
Bivouac have high hopes coming into the season after a four and four record in 2019. Leading scorer Will Bynum is looking to stay hot on offense after averaging 11 points per game last season. With new additions Alonzo Gee and Julian Wright joining Captain, Josh Smith, they are looking to improve on the 2019 season and make it to the Bahamas for the playoffs.
MVP of the 2019 season Joe Johnson makes his return to the BIG3 looking to add to his legacy. Coached by Lisa Leslie, a Naismith Hall of Famer, 2x WNBA Champion, 3x WNBA MVP and 4x Olympic Gold Medalist, the Triplets are looking to become back to back BIG3 championships.
The last time these teams faced off the Triplets got a narrow 51 to 45 victory after Joe Johnson scored 26 points. Josh Smith had a double double the last time these teams faced off with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Trilogy vs. Killer 3’s
Saturday, July 10th Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. Triller and FITETV 3PM ET
Captains: Jarrett Jack (Trilogy) and Franklin Session (Killer 3’s)
After a tough loss in the 2019 BIG3 championship the Killer 3’s are looking to bounce back. Stephen Jackson won’t be playing for the Killer 3’s this season, rather he is going against his old team as coach of the Trilogy.
The Trilogy headed by new coach Stephen Jackson only return James White from the 2019 season. Jarrett Jack joins the Trilogy as captain bringing 13 years of NBA experience with him. Amir Johnson co-captains the team bringing 14 years of NBA experience with him. The Trilogy added Isaiah Briscoe and NBA champion Metta Sandiford-Artest in the draft. They will be a formidable opponent for anyone this season.
Coached by the legend Charles Oakley the Killer 3’s are looking to get back to playoffs again this season, but this time win the BIG3 championship. Captain Frank Nitty is a highlight machine with some of the best handles in the league. The Killer 3’s definitely took a hit losing Stephen Jackson, but they have the talent with Josh Powell and Donte Green to make waves in the league this season.
The last time these teams faced off the Trilogy won a tightly contested matchup 50 to 48. Donte Green had 18 points and 3 steals in that matchup. Both teams bring a new roster into this matchup and they will be ready for a battle to the end.

3 Headed Monsters vs Tri-State
Saturday, July 10 Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. Triller and FITETV 3PM ET
Captains: Rashard Lewis (3 Headed Monsters) and Nate Robinson (Tri-State)
Following the first matchup on Triller, captain Rashard Lewis and the Monsters have their eyes on a Bahamas finish this season. The Monsters wasted no time in the draft and selected Kevin Murphy with their first pick. Murphy will join point guard Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and co-captain Reggie Evans. The Monsters look ready for a week 1 clash.
Head Coach Julius Erving and Tri-State return to the court this Saturday following a four and four record in 2019. The leading scorer for Tri-State Jason Richardson looks to pick up where things left off in 2019. New Additions to the team, first round pick Earl Clark and second round pick Tone Wroten are expected to make big impacts in the new season.
Last time these two teams faced off we had an exciting finish to the end. Tri-State ended up winning a nail-biter by four points, with the score being 50 to 46. Robert Hite hit a game-winning 3 at the end.

3’s Company vs Ball Hogs
Saturday July 10, Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. Triller and FITETV 3PM ET
Captains: Dermarr Johnson (3’s Company) and Brian Scalabrine (Ball Hogs)
Head Coach Michael Cooper and 3’s Company look ready to go for the start of the season. Taking the court in 2021 will be team veterans Dermarr Johnson and Drew Gooden. Newly added to the team, former 3 Headed Monsters player Mario Chalmers, hopes to bring some new energy to the team. 3’s Company selected Jermey Pargo and Ryan Hollins in the 2021 SuperDraft, they will be big factors in week 1.
The Ball Hogs have high hopes coming into the new season after a one and seven finish in 2019. In the offseason the Ball Hogs signed Leandro Barbosa to the team, joining fan favorite Brian Scalbrine and teammate Spencer Hawes. The Hogs selected Jodie Meeks and Will McDonald in the 2021 draft. The Ball Hogs only way is up, will be exciting to watch.
The last time these teams faced off, 3’s Company got out to an early lead and did not let go of it. The Final score was 50 to 38, leading scorer was Andre Emmett with 15 points and 2 assists. Will Mcdonald had 18 points and 4 rebounds in the loss.

Aliens vs Ghost Ballers
Saturday July 10, Orleans Arena, Las Vegas. Triller and FITETV 3PM ET
Captains: Greg Oden (Aliens) and Ricky Davis (Ghost Ballers)
Aliens are looking forward to the start of the 2021 season. They had a rough introduction into the BIG3 in 2019 as they finished 3-5. Returning as their captain is big man Greg Oden, alongside teammates Shannon Brown and Brandon Rush. Aliens drafted some key players for the upcoming season, snagging Renaldo Balkman and Andre Owens. Aliens will definitely be a team to watch for this season.
The Ghost Ballers have their eyes on a playoff push this summer and a potential Bahamas finish. Head coach George Gervin and the Ballers finished 4-4 in 2019. Captain Ricky Davis returns to the team, alongside Mike Taylor and big man Chris Johnson. The Ballers added some key players to the team, drafting Cheyne Gadson and Craig Smith. Both players with big impact capability.
Last time these two teams faced off, Aliens took care of business with a 51-35 final score. Shannon Brown led the way with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Ricky Davis had 10 points and 5 boards in the loss.
