Preview All 6 Matchups Below
Game 1: 3’s Company (1-3) vs Ghost Ballers (3-1)
Without Jeremy Pargo, Mario Chalmers stepped up for 3’s Company, but they couldn’t get the win against Tri-State in week 4. Ghost Ballers had their best win of the season against Ball Hogs in week 4 on the back of big games from Mike Taylor and Chris Johnson.
In week 5 Ghost Ballers will be looking to cement themselves in the top part of the standings, while 3’s Company will start making the push to get back to .500.
Game 2: Tri-State (3-1) vs Power (2-2)
Tri-State got a tightly contested win in week 4 over 3’s Company. They got the win without their leading scorer Jason Richardson. Earl Clark, Justin Dentmon, and Nate Robinson all had strong games for Tri-State in week 4. Power is coming off their second loss of the season. They were without captain Cuttino Mobley in week 4. Dušan Bulut made his BIG3 debut and had some bright spots. He will look to get more involved in the offense in week 5.
Tri-State is looking to get out to a 4-1 start to the season and position themselves in a good spot to make the playoffs. Power are looking to get back into the win column and put themselves back into the playoff race.
Game 3: Killer 3’s (2-2) vs Bivouac (0-4)
Killer 3’s are coming off their second straight win of the season. They beat a tough Power team in week 4 and are looking to keep the wins rolling. Bivouac had their most competitive game of the season. Unfortunately for them Quincy Miller went down late with an ankle injury. He led them in scoring. Alonzo Gee stepped up when Miller went down. Gee will look to bring some of that confidence into the week 5 matchup with Bivouac.
Killer 3’s are going for their 3rd straight win in week 5. They are looking to get into the top half of the standings for the first time this season. Bivouac are looking to get win number one on the board. They are bringing some confidence into week 5 with how they came back late in their week 4 matchup with 3 Headed Monsters.
Game 4: Ball Hogs (2-2) vs Trilogy (3-1)
Ball Hogs suffered their worst loss of the season in week 4 against Ghost Ballers so they will be looking to get back above .500 against a tough Trilogy team. The Leandro Barbosa and Jodie Meeks duo will have to play very well to get the job done. Trilogy are coming off a dominant week 4 win over Aliens. Jarret Jack will be missing for week 5, so Isaiah Briscoe will get his chance to start and and control the offense for Trilogy.
Ball Hogs are looking to get back to a winning record and put themselves in a good position to make a playoff run in the second half of the season. Trilogy want to keep the wins rolling and stay in contention with Triplets for the top spot in the BIG3.
Game 5: 3 Headed Monsters (3-1) vs Triplets (4-0)
3 Headed Monsters got a much more tightly contested matchup than they anticipated in week 4. They beat Bivouac, but it was very close down the stretch and could have gone either way. Reggie Evans had a massive game scoring 20 points and pulling down 17 boards. Triplets stayed undefeated after their week 4 matchup with Enemies. Joe Johnson led the way for Triplets and Jannero Pargo had his best game of the season draining the step-back 3 for the game winner.
3 Headed Monsters will look to take down the reigning champs in week 5 and get to 4-1, positioning themselves to make the run to the playoffs. Triplets will look to stay undefeated and at the top of the standings.
Game 6: Enemies (1-3) vs Aliens (0-4)
Enemies suffered a tough loss to Triplets in week 4. Elijah Stewart was the bright spot for Enemies and it seemed like he was the only one bringing energy to the game. Aliens lost to Trilogy and only had one player in double digits for scoring, Andre Owens. Both teams need to start finding some wins if they want any chance of sneaking into the playoffs. Brandon Rush will be looking to get more involved in week 5. Isaiah Austin who had a big start to the season will also be looking to get back on the scoresheet.
Enemies are looking to make the push to get back to .500 for the season. Aliens are trying to get their first win of the season and need to find some offense. If either team wants to make the playoffs they need to find some scoring in a big way.
