Game 1: Tri-State (3-2) vs Ball Hogs (3-2) CBS 12PM ET
Tri-State lost a tightly contested matchup with Power in week 5 in Milwaukee. Tri-State had a strong performance from Jason Richardson who finished with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Tri-State also had solid contributions from Tony Wroten and Nate Robinson who each finished with 10 points, but it wasn’t enough to take down the 27 point performance of Dušan Bulut and Power. Tri-State has a very well rounded roster that can definitely get back on track in week 6.
Ball Hogs got one of their best wins of the season against Trilogy in week 5. Leandro Barbosa led the way with points and 4 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks to his game stats. Ball Hogs also had strong performances from Jodie Meeks and Will McDonald who finished with 13 and 10 points. The duo of Barbosa and Meeks continues to produce solid games which they will look to continue against a tough Tri-State team in week 6.
Tri-State will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss in week 5 and keep themselves firmly in the playoff race. Ball Hogs will be looking to get on a win streak and solidify themselves in the top half of the standings. This is a must win game for both teams to stay in the playoff race to cash their ticket to the Bahamas.
Game 2: Ghost Ballers (4-1) vs Trilogy (3-2) CBS 12PM ET
Ghost Ballers led off week 5 with a convincing win over Trilogy. Ghost Ballers had an all around team win with 4 players in double digits. Mike Taylor led the way for Ghost Ballers with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. In his Ghost Ballers debut Alex Scales had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Chris Johnson and Ricky Davis each had 11 points in the win for Ghost Ballers. Johnson had 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Davis had 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Trilogy lost a closely contested game to Ball Hogs that slipped away from them at the end of the game. Trilogy didn’t have the same offensive flow without Jarrett Jack in the lineup. Isaiah Briscoe stepped into the starting lineup and finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Briscoe also won back to back bring the fire challenges to keep Trilogy in it. Amir Johnson also chipped in 10 points.
Ghost Ballers will be looking to keep the wins rolling in week 6 in Chicago. A win in week 6 firmly sits Ghost Ballers in the playoff race. This matchup in week 6 is a must win for Trilogy to keep them in the race to the Bahamas. The guard matchups will be tightly contested in this week 6 matchup. Jarrett Jack and Isaiah Briscoe squaring off with Mike Taylor and Ricky Davis will definitely deliver fireworks in Chicago.
Game 3: Triplets (5-0) vs Killer 3’s (3-2) Triller/FITE 2PM ET
Triplets kept the wins rolling in week 5 with a strong performance against 3 Headed Monsters. Joe Johnson led the way for Triplets with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Triplets also had a strong contribution from Alan Anderson who finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Triplets will be a tough matchup for anyone in the BIG3 this season.
Killer 3’s are coming off their third win in a row. They beat Bivouac by 20 points on the back of a massive game from Donte Greene. Greene finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds to lead Killer 3’s to their third straight win. Greene made 5 three pointers and one 4 pointer in the week 5 game. CJ Watson had another strong performance off the bench finishing with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Watson made three 3 pointers in the game.
Triplets will be looking to continue their undefeated season in week 6 against a surging Killer 3’s team that wants to continue their push into the playoff race. Killer 3’s have won 3 straight games and will be looking to continue that streak in week 6 against their toughest opponents of the season.
Game 4: Aliens (1-4) vs Power (3-2) Triller/FITE 2PM ET
Aliens got their first win of the season in week 5 against the Enemies. Andre Owens and Shannon Brown each had 14 points and 3 rebounds in the contest. Greg Oden had 9 points and 7 rebounds with some clutch defense down the stretch. Jason Maxiell had a quiet 13 rebounds which led the Aliens. An all around team effort got the Aliens their first win of the season.
Power got a big win over Tri-State in week 5. Power were in need of a win to get their season back on track. Dusan Bulut proved why he earned a bronze medal in the Olympics in week 5. Bulut finished with 27 points. Bulut made three 3 pointers and one 4 point shot in the contest. Cuttino Mobley also had a strong contribution, finishing with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Power were without Royce White in week 5, but the right people stepped up to get the job done.
Aliens will be looking to add another win onto their record and sneak into the playoffs with a 4-4 record. Power have a must win game in week 5 to stay in the middle of the playoff race. Bulut will look to have another big game to lead his team to their second straight win.
Game 5: 3 Headed Monsters (3-2) vs Enemies (1-4) Triller/FITE 2PM ET
3 Headed Monsters lost a tough game to Triplets in week 5. 3 Headed Monsters were down big at halftime, and they outscored Triplets 33-24 in the second half, but were too far behind. Kevin Murphy led the way with 29 points and 2 four point shots. Murphy has become one of the most consistent scorers in the BIG3 this season averaging more than 20 points-per-game Reggie Evans chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds in the game.
Enemies lost a close game to tightly contested matchup with Aliens in week 5. Elijah Stewart led the way for the Enemies, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Austin chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Those two performances weren’t enough to lift the Enemies to their second win of the season.
3 Headed Monsters will be hungry to get back in the win column in week 6 and keep themselves in the top half of the standings. Enemies have to win out this season if they want any chance of making the playoffs, so week 6 is a must win game for both teams. The matchup between Kevin Murphy and Elijah Stewart will be one to watch in this game.
Game 6: 3’s Company (1-4) vs Bivouac (0-5) Triller/FITE 2PM ET
3’s Company lost to Ghost Ballers in week 5 and once again missed their leading scorer Jeremy Pargo who returns in week 7. Drew Gooden led the way for 3’s Company in week 5, finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He was the only 3’s Company player in double digits for scoring. Mario Chalmers will look to get more involved in week 6 after scoring 6 points in week 5.
Bivouac lost to Killer 3’s in week 5. Bivouac could not contain Donte Greene who had an MVP like performance in the game. In his Bivouac debut Bobby Brown had 11 points to lead Bivouac. He also had 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Brown made a 4 pointer in the week 5 matchup Cory Jefferson added 11 points and 7 rebounds in a strong effort. Brown and Jefferson were the only Bivouac players in double digits for the game. Bivouac will be getting Quincy Miller back in week 6. Miller adds size and efficiency to the Bivouac offense.
3’s Company have to win in week 6 if they want any chance of sneaking into the playoffs at 4-4. Bivouac need to get a win on the board to kick start their season and to try and finish 3-5. The Bobby Brown and Mario Chalmers matchup is one to watch in week 6. Both guys can get hot in a hurry and drop a lot of points.
