Josh Powell and Will Hanley of the BIG3 went live on Instagram for an Interview
Josh Powell returns as a co-captain for the Killer 3’s for a third season in the BIG3. He brings 19 years of experience to the team and game of basketball. Powell joined BIG3 for an interview to talk about his feelings for the upcoming BIG3 season.
Former teammates in 2019, Captain Stephen Jackson and Josh Powell. “ It’s all love… we talk trash in a positive manner”, Powell says. We’ll see how long that lasts on the physical BIG3 court this weekend.
Killer 3’s and Trilogy played in week 1 of season 4 in the BIG3, Trilogy won 50-38. Killer 3’s were ranked 11th coming into the season, there was no change following the win Saturday to the new Power Rankings.
“This is year 19 professionally for me, I don’t have any complaints”, Powell says. Most of all Powell is happy to be playing BIG3 basketball again. Powell has been a big part of the Killer 3’s in the past years and will continue to do so.
After the slow start for the Killer 3’s, they look to bounce back and improve from the week 1 loss against Trilogy. “ Making sure we continuously attack when we feel we have an advantage and getting stops when we need to.”, Powell says. Definitely a couple focus points that the Killer 3’s wanna do and execute coming into week 2.
Josh Powell also got a tattoo for Andre Emmett on his hand so he can always be with him.
