Greg Oden Talks About His Favorite BIG3 Match-Ups And More With Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck

Greg Oden was a newcomer to the BIG3 last season. Picked 7th overall last year by the Aliens, Oden was regarded as one of the best big men in the league. Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck sat down with Oden to discuss his career and life, the BIG3 and more.

“I’m happy to be able to have a chance to play basketball again,” Oden said on the podcast. “I’m so thankful to Ice Cube and everybody involved in the BIG3 for that opportunity to get me out there.”

Oden’s story is well documented but his return to the court in the BIG3 has been exciting to watch. In multiple games last year, he was a dominant force that couldn’t be stopped. As he mentioned to Howard Beck on the podcast, three-on-three is certainly built for a player like him.

On the podcast, Beck asked Oden “Who’s been the best to go up against (in the BIG3)?”

Oden responded saying “Big Al Jefferson. He got me. Last year, the first game. And then Joe Johnson was freaking amazing all year, last year. I got to see Josh Smith again, had a lot of battles with him when I played. Everybody, I just enjoy it.”
