Captain of the Ghost Ballers Ricky Davis went live on BIG3’s Instagram today and talked about the BIG3 and the work he’s done off the court. The Ghost Ballers have high hopes of a playoff push this season and a potential Bahamas finish. The Ballers added Chris Johnson to their roster in the offseason, Chris Johnson who is a “huge piece to this puzzle” , Davis says. Johnson is expected to make a big impact for the Ghost Ballers this season.
Davis would like to see the league grow with the talent at this year’s draft pool, “ God willing next season we can add more teams with the level of talent we have at the combine”. The BIG3 added 4 teams in 2019 making the total of teams to 12. With the level of talent that has been around the BIG3, we might see more teams form in the near future.
Ricky Davis believes George Gervin is NBA coaching material, saying “ definitely could be an NBA Coach, with the knowledge and talent he has”. Davis is all in on his coach, the ballers will be exciting to watch this season. In 2019 they finished 4-4, their set to make a big impact week 1 against Aliens for the start of the 2021 BIG3 season.
Ricky Davis has been doing a lot off the court in helping serve his community. Davis is opening up a school this upcoming year through his charity called Meridian Sports Academy.
