Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league has brought in fast food chain Taco Bell as its official restaurant partner ahead of the 2021 season tip-off, scheduled for July 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As part of the collaboration, Taco Bell will sponsor the league’s “Bring the Fire” rule, allowing teams to challenge an officiating call with a one-on-one face-off once per half.
Additional features of the partnership include in-game, broadcast, and social branded content, as well as courtside signage and activations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Taco Bell as the latest in a series of impactful partners ahead of the 2021 season,” said BIG3 co-founder Ice Cube. “Taco Bell is equally as dedicated to quality entertainment and our team knows they’ll add some spice to the already exciting ‘Bring the Fire’ rule.
“We are preparing our players for the highest energy season yet and Taco Bell is here to help kickstart the competition,” he said.
BIG3 recently partnered with multinational technology company Microsoft for the 2021 BIG3 SuperDraft, which took place on June 14 at the Microsoft Lounge in Los Angeles, California.
