After the second week of games there is a lot of movement in our Power Rankings. All 12 teams played this weekend at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, but not all of them kept their momentum from Week 1.
Catch all the Week 3 action on Saturday, July 24th on CBS at 1PM ET then on Triller and FITE at 3PM ET.
These selections are made based on a panel of experts.
1. Triplets (No Change)
The Week 2 game of the week did not disappoint. Triplets and Power battled it out and the Triplets came out on top with a win 50-47. Joe Johnson stole the show again with 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. It was a one man show this week for the Triplets, but the MVP got it done. After receiving their rings before the game, the Triplets had all the motivation to get the win in this tightly contested matchup. Despite the Power raking up a late 10 point lead, The Triplets stormed back. Joe clutched the game with a key steal off Royce White and a game winning three pointer. The Triplets remain at the top of the rankings and have looked dominant thus far.

2. Trilogy (Up 4)
The Trilogy tie for the biggest jump in the rankings this week, looking like the team many people expected them to. Their strong win against the 3 Headed Monsters was led by Isaiah Briscoe, who had another stand-out game with 13 points and 5 rebounds. But it was a team effort as the team had double digit scoring contributions from three players this weekend. Jarrett Jack hit the game winning 4 pointer to ice the game for Trilogy. Trilogy have very well rounded roster and they will be a serious threat to the Triplets at the top of the Power Rankings.

3. Ghost Ballers (Up 2)
Ghost Ballers look sneaky good as they out hustled the so far disappointing Enemies. Mike Taylor dropped 25 points and 7 rebounds in the win for the Ghosts. Chris Johnson hit the game winning fadeaway over Isaiah Austin to finish with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Taylor and Johnson are starting to become a duo that will pose a threat to the whole league this season. The Ghosts can definitely challenge for the playoffs and a potential championship this BIG3 season.

4. Power (Down 2)
In the game of the week, and after a lot of trash talking, Power couldn’t close out against the reigning champs. Royce White got into early foul trouble which didn’t help the already short handed Power. Cuttino Mobley was the leading scorer for Power with 22 points. He also added 6 rebounds. Joe Alexander chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. Power are still a very dangerous team going forward this season, but will now have to prove they belong at the top and can close our when up big. Reinforcements will arrive when Dusan Bulut is back in the lineup Week 4, but they’ll have to face off against the Brazilian Blur and the Ball Hogs next week first.

5. Ball Hogs (Down 1)
The Ball Hogs may be down this week, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t still impress. They won a game they should win against the Aliens in week 2, but need to prove themselves against the league’s best to prove they belong. Leandro Barbosa led the scoring again with 27. He also added 5 assists, putting him in the league lead for the stat. Jodie Meeks added a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Barbosa and Meeks have played very well together to start the season. Look for them to stay hot in week 3.

6. 3 Headed Monsters (Down 3)
3 Headed Monsters lost a close contest to the surging Trilogy. Kevin Murphy led the scoring for the Monsters again with 25 points. 3 Headed Monsters will look to find some scoring from the rest of the roster to keep them in the top half of the Power Rankings. Head Coach Gary Payton will have the team ready for their week 3 matchup with 3’s Company.

7. Tri-State (Up 2)
After a big win in week 2 Tri-State improves from the #9 spot to #7. Tri-State dominated Bivouac the entire game, delivering the second biggest blow-out in BIG3 history. Jason Richardson stole the show and had a double-double in a big week 2 win. Richardson added 20 points and 17 boards to the stat sheet. Earl Clark also pitched in 12 points and 5 rebounds in the game. Tri-State looks to improve on the young season going up against a very good Ghost Ballers team.

8. 3’s Company (Up 4)
We found a new star in week 2 for 3’s Company. Jeremy Pargo is making a statement. After a loss in week 1 and being ranked last in latest Power Rankings, 3’s Company has moved up the list after a big win in week 2. Head Coach Michael Cooper and 3’s Company looked motivated and eager. Just like Week 1, 3’s Company found themselves in an early hole before going on a 10-0 run. This time, they were able to capitalize on those points and escape with a win. Jeremy Pargo was clutch in the closing moments of the game. He finished with 22 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds while making three 4 pointers. He now has 5 times as many 4 pointers as any other player this season. Mario Chalmers had 13 points and 5 rebounds as well. 3’s Company heads into a big week 3 coming off a strong win in week 2.

9. Enemies (Down 1)
After playing two tough teams in the beginning, the Enemies have their eyes on a better start in week 3. Head Coach Gilbert Arenas and Enemies ran into a tough Ghost Ballers team last week. Mike Taylor was a problem all game, adding 25 points. Elijah Stewart brought Enemies back in the game late down the stretch, but came up short in the closing moments. Stewart finished with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. Rookie Isaiah Austin added 15 points and 5 boards in the game. Nick Young continued to disappoint, and only has 5 points all season. Enemies prepare for a tough and hungry Bivouac team in week 3, will be exciting to watch.

10. Aliens (No Change)
After two weeks of playing, Aliens have had it rough playing two top 5 teams right out of the gate. Aliens coach Rick Mahorn believes that his players can turn the young season around and push for a Bahamas finish. Aliens last week ran into a very young and eager Ball Hogs team.
Brandon Rush was a big part for Aliens adding a double-double to his BIG3 resume. Rush had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the game. Andre Owens also added 16 points and 6 rebounds to the stat sheet. Aliens prepare for another team in week 3 that is winless the Killer 3’s.

11. Killer 3’s (No Change)
Killer 3’s go into week 3 0-2 and are hoping for a better start in week 3. Franklin Session and the Killer 3’s matched up with 3’s Company in week 2 in a game that came down to the wire. 3’s Company pulled away down the stretch beating Killer 3’s 52-45. Franklin Session had 20 points and 9 rebounds in the game. Josh Powell also added 10 points and 6 boards. Killer 3’s go into week 3 against another team, Aliens that has lost both games and is hoping to change that. When the Killer 3’s get some consistent scoring from the whole roster they will make their way up the rankings.

12. Bivouac (Down 5)
With a total of only 68 points in two games, Bivouac enters this week’s latest Power Rankings last. Bivouac has had two tough matchups in the first two weeks. In week 2 they went against Tri-State and didn’t start off too well. Through most of the game Tri-State was finding their spots and capitalizing on opportunities. Bivouac lost to Tri-State 50-29. Captain Josh Smith led the team with 12 points and 5 rebounds in the game. Will Bynum added 9 points and 6 boards to the stat sheet. Bivouac hopes to improve on the young season and make a playoff push in the coming weeks. Commentator Lisa Leslie commented on the sluggish effort by Bivouac. They’ll need to step up the effort if they want any shot at winning any game, much less the playoffs. Bivouac will go head to head with Enemies in week 3.
