Franklin “Frank Nitty” Session took over the captain role of the Killer 3s in 2021 after the departure of Stephen Jackson. The team got off to a slow start, but were able to turn their season around on the backs of Nitty and Donte Greene.
In 2021, Session provided one of the highlights of the season with a massive dunk on Jason Maxiell, and is perhaps the most reliable source of posters that currently calls the BIG3 his home.
He also snatched a league-high 11 steals in 2021 and managed to block 7 shots, which was the third-highest total in the league. Where Frank Nitty goes, big plays follow.
After growing up in Watts, Session attended Jordan High School and then moved on to attend Irvine Valley College, Saddleback College, Weber State and Cal State, Los Angeles, with the latter being where he made his name. He was named to the All-CCAA first team and the All-Big Sky Second team, and was named the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year.
Since his collegiate career, Session is perhaps known for his three consecutive MVP seasons in Los Angeles’ famed Drew League.
