In 2018, Powell had the third highest field goal percentage in the BIG3 with .588. His 2019 season was also impressive, as Powell averaged 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He had a well-rounded performance in the championship game defeat to the Triplets, with four points, two rebounds, an assist, and a blocked shot.
Powell played eight seasons in the NBA, where he collected back-to-back championships as a member of the Lakers in 2009 and 2010.
After two years as a standout college player with North Carolina State, Powell briefly played professionally in Russia before returning to the NBA, signing with the Dallas Mavericks in 2005. In addition to his stints with the Mavs and Lakers, Powell played for the Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, L.A. Clippers and Atlanta Hawks.
